Purpose

This report outlines the
arrangements for the process of fee setting and negotiation of fee
increases for new and existing placements across the following
provision types:

Children’s residential homes

·      
Fostering

·      
Supported accommodation/SAILS

·      
Care and support packages
 

Decision

Cabinet Member approval is
granted for:
 

(1) 
The increase of rates for the NWP Framework and
Sefton Framework of 7.3% and LCR Framework of 10.5% for all new
placements;
 

(2) 
the negotiation of off contract placements to be
guided by the same rate; and
 

(3) 
the process for future years consultation and fee
setting as set out in section 10 of the report.

 

 
Reason for the decisions:
 
The recommendations represent
best value for the council and follow a previously defined and
agreed process.
