Purpose

The purpose of this report is
to seek the Cabinet Member’s approval to go out to
publication consultation on the Hesketh Road,
Homer Green and Carr Houses Conservation Area Appraisal and
Management Plan. As well as Lunt Village Conservation Area
Appraisal (published 2007) Update and New Management
Plan.

That the following be
approved:
 
(1)    The contents of the draft Lunt Village,
Hesketh Road, Homer Green and Carr Houses Conservation Area
Appraisals and Management Plans for Public Consultation.
(Annexes)

 

(2)    To proceed
with Public Consultation for the documents for a 6-week period
beginning July 2023 and ending in September 2023 (subject to
approvals)

 
Reasons for the Decision(s):
 
That Cabinet Member approves
the draft documents and agrees to the programme of Public
Consultation within the proposed timescale to allow the Council to
fulfil its statutory duties under the Planning
(Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Act
1990.

The alternative options are
that no Conservation Area Appraisal nor Management Plan are carried
out which would not be in the best interests of preserving and
enhancing Hesketh Road, Homer Green, Carr Houses and Lunt Village
Conservation Areas.
