To seek Cabinet
Member approval for the temporary closure of Thornton Bridleway
No.10 to facilitate the new development between Holgate and Park
View, Thornton.

the temporary closure of Thornton Bridleway No.10 be
approved
(2) The necessary
legal procedures, including those of public consultation and
advertising the Council’s intention to implement the Order,
be approved;
 

 

Reasons for the Decision(s):
 
The Council has the power to make temporary Traffic
Regulation Orders under (Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation
Act 1984).

Consideration was given to keep
the bridleway open whilst improvement works were going ahead but it
was deemed unsafe to do so.
