About
The Licensing Committee is responsible for overseeing licensing functions within the Sevenoaks District Council, as mandated by specific legislation. It handles the granting, renewal, transfer, suspension, and revocation of licenses for hackney carriages, private hire vehicles, drivers, and operators. The committee also processes applications for sex establishment licenses and discharges functions related to the Police Reform and Social Responsibility Act 2011. Its remit covers all other licensing and registration responsibilities of the District Council, except where otherwise provided by the Licensing Act 2003 and the Gambling Act 2005.
