North Local Area Committee

The North Local Area Committee, comprising councillors from Stocksbridge & Upper Don, Stannington, East Ecclesfield, and West Ecclesfield Wards, empowers local communities by increasing their control over decision-making and the delivery of council services. It oversees the creation of an annual Area Committee Plan, developed with resident priorities, and ensures these plans influence the council's strategic direction. The committee works with local partners and voluntary organisations to improve service effectiveness and resource efficiency. It monitors and holds accountable those responsible for delivering on the Area Committee Plan's actions and performance, and is empowered to set priorities and direct resources within its geographical area.
