Purpose
The report seeks approval to allow the following Registered
Providers (RPs) of Social Housing to instruct the Council’s
rehousing officers to advertise properties at the following
locations via the Council’s lettings system:
Alpha at Greenside
House, 260 St Aidans Drive, Norfolk Park, Sheffield, South
Yorkshire, S2 2ND
Wakefield District
Housing (WDH) at land At Junction With Carr Road Hollin Busk Lane
Sheffield S36 2NR
An informal arrangement has previously been
put in place for other RPs with small amounts of stock in Sheffield
to advertise in this way. This was via email however a more formal
approval process via an officer decision is now required.
This is an
interim decision until all lettings agreements are to be reviewed
early next year with implementation for the new financial year,
April 25 onwards. Both the above Registered Providers (RPs) of
Social Housing will then be placed on the new agreements. They will
be consulted alongside all other RPs in due course as part of the
process.
The Report will outline the
current position, and rationale, for this decision.

Authorises the Council to enter into a
nominations arrangement with RPs Alpha (R.S.L.) Limited and
Wakefield District Housing Limited under which the Council will
advertise vacant properties of these RPs for nomination from its
Housing Register on its Choice Based Lettings system.
