6.1

The
Assistant Director of School Effectiveness introduced the report
which highlighted the purpose of the framework to the committee. It
was explained that the purpose of the framework was to ensure that
every child feels they belong in a loving family, a good quality
home, their local school, and their community and that it aimed to
create an environment where children are valued, respected, and
their voices are heard.

6.2

RESOLVED UNANIMOUSLY: That the Education,
Children and Families Policy Committee:-

To
approve the Belonging statement and support the “I”
statements. 2. To approve to review how we engage with our children
to hear their voice and ensure they belong.

6.3

Reasons for Decision

6.3.1

This
report provides an update with regards to the Children’s
Services Belonging Framework.
