Purpose

To seek approval to extend, by a period of 1
year, 31 existing service contracts, all of which are within the
responsibility of the Director of Integrated Commissioning.
 The contracts all contribute towards
the delivery of approved Council strategies, are supported by
various central government grants which were originally due to end
on 31st March 2025, and which have recently been
extended to 31st March 2026. 
Acceptance of the additional grant funding now needs to be
approved, and the duration of each contract now needs to be
extended in compliance with procurement law to enable the services
supported by the grant funding to continue in 2025-26.

The Director of Integrated Commissioning:
1.   
Approves the Council’s acceptance of the additional grant
funding from central government on the basis that each extended
grant is within an agreed strategy as set out in this report and is
within the specific areas of service/budgetary responsibility of
the DIC set out in Part 7B of the Constitution
2.   
Approves the extension of each of the contracts and the
continuation of their related internal funding arrangements as set
out in the body of the report on the basis that each is within the
specific areas of service/budgetary responsibility of the DIC set
out in Part 7B of the Constitution
3.   
Will seek the advice and assistance of the Director of Legal and
Commercial Services to undertake the related commissioning,
procurement and legal processes necessary to modify the contracts
by extending their duration in a manner that is compliant with
subsidy and procurement law.
4.   
Approves the signing and execution of (or the sealing of where so
applicable) any necessary memoranda or deed of contract variation
required by paragraph 2 above following any consultation referred
to in paragraph 3 when their terms are agreed by reference to the
permitted grounds for each extension set out in the Officer
Report.
