Reasons for
Decision

10.3.1

An endorsed Complaints Annual Report and endorsed
Learning from Feedback gives the Public and Members assurance that
Adult Care and Wellbeing is delivering upon its commitment to learn
from complaints and learn from feedback.
Asking for six monthly updates provides greater
accountability and transparency regards our delivery upon service
improvements identified.

Alternatives Considered and
Rejected

10.4.1

Alternative Option
1: An alternative
option is that Committee do not endorse the Annual Report and
Learning from Feedback. However, this would not provide the
opportunity for assurance and scrutiny.

10.4.1

Alternative Option 2: Endorsement of the Annual Report for 2023 – 2024 whilst
requesting specific actions for assurance in August 2025, the next
planned update to Committee on Complaints in Adult Care and
Wellbeing
