This report provides a progress
update on the Attercliffe Regeneration Framework Draft Document
previously reported to this committee on 11 September 2024 and
seeks authority to commence a public consultation exercise to move
this project closer to adoption.

 

 

11.2

RESOLVED
UNANIMOUSLY: That the Transport,
Regeneration and Climate Policy Committee approves the request to
commence the Public Consultation exercise in relation to the
Attercliffe Regeneration Framework Document.

Reasons for Decision

 

 

11.3.1

This report provides a progress
update on the Attercliffe Regeneration Framework and seeks to move
the policy guidance document project forward to
adoption.

 

 

11.4

Alternatives Considered and Rejected

 

 

11.4.1

Do nothing:
Not writing a new document to
replace the Attercliffe Action Plan was the route taken until
funding from HE was forthcoming to facilitate this work.

 

 

11.4.2

Do More:
To do more would require an
increase in funding from HE. This document outlines Six Areas where
Business Cases could be developed however this funding has not yet
been offered by, HE to conduct this further work.

 

 

11.4.3

Chosen Option:
The production of the ARF
document represents the best way of delivering an update on
previous projects realised in Attercliffe 2011-21 and setting out a
framework to delivering projects in this area 2025-2024 in a
strategic manner.
