10.1

Sections 38 to 43 of the
Localism Act 2011 require the local authority to produce and
publish a pay policy statement before 31 March annually which is
approved by a resolution of the Council. This Pay Policy Statement
describes proposed changes to update the figures on an annual basis
and to clarify the recruitment of Chief Officers.

 

 

10.2

RESOLVED: That the Finance and
Performance Policy Committee:
 

·      
Agrees the Pay Policy for inclusion in the 2025/2026
Budget for approval by Full Council.
 
(NOTE: The result of
the vote was FOR – 7 Members; AGAINST – 1 Member;
ABSTENTIONS – 1 Member)

Reasons for Decision

 

 

10.3.1

To comply with the
Council’s statutory obligations under sections 38 to 43 of
the Localism Act 2011 of producing an annual Pay Policy Statement
and provide for up-to-date decision-making processes in relation to
pay and senior officer recruitment.
