The report provides details of
proposed changes to the existing Capital Programme as brought
forward in Month 09 2024/25.

12.2

RESOLVED
UNANIMOUSLY: That the Finance and
Performance Policy Committee:
 

1.   
Approves the proposed additions and variations to
the Capital Programme listed in Appendix 1 of the
report.

Approves the proposed additions and variations to
the Capital Programme listed in Appendix 2 of the report, subject
to the receipt of formal offers of funding

Approves the acceptance of grant funding as
identified in Appendix 3 of the report.

Approves the acceptance of grant funding as
identified in Appendix 4 of the report, subject to formal offers
from grant funder

Approves the issuing of grant funding as identified
in Appendix 5 of the report.

12.3

Reasons for Decision

12.3.1

The Sheffield City Council
Capital Strategy and Budget Book was approved as part of the Full
Council meeting of 6th March 2024. This document outlines the key
capital investment priorities of the Council by Policy Committee
area.
Each month new schemes and variations to existing schemes that are
in alignment with this strategy are brought forward for formal
budget approval to the Finance & Performance Policy Committee
in line with the requirements of the constitution and Financial
Procedures.

12.4

Alternatives Considered and Rejected

12.4.1

A number of alternative courses
of action are considered as part of the process undertaken by
Officers before decisions are recommended to Members. The
recommendations made to Members represent what Officers believe to
be the best options available to the Council, in line with Council
priorities, given the constraints on funding and the use to which
funding is put within the Revenue Budget and the Capital
Programme.
