11.1

The
Assistant Director of Children and Families introduced the report
which provided an update to the Education, Children and Families
Committee on the developments of the in-house residential service
strategy. The strategy sits alongside the council’s placement
sufficiency strategy and provides a clear vision for the
development of the service.

11.2

RESOLVED UNANIMOUSLY: That the Education,
Children and Families Policy Committee:-

Receive and note the Children and Families Residential Strategy
and outcomes plan.

Reasons for Decision

11.3.1

To
receive and note the Children and Families Residential Strategy and
outcomes plan.

11.4

Alternatives Considered and Rejected

11.4.1

The report provides evidence demonstrating the
impact of the services in Sheffield as required. The Service
complete a report for the scrutiny of elected Members. Education,
Children and Families Committee afford the best forum to support
the transparency for elected members and public
scrutiny.
