Purpose
To seek approval to extend by a period of one
year on the existing terms the Holiday Activities with Food
programme (HAF) grant which sits within the responsibility of the
Director of Integrated Commissioning.
The HAF grant contributes towards the delivery
of approved Council strategy A
place where all children belong and all young people can build a
successful future. It is funded by
a Central Government grant which was originally due to end on
31st March 2025, and which have recently been extended
to 31st March 2026.
Acceptance of the additional grant funding
needs to be approved to enable the delivery of Holiday Activities
with Food during the Easter, summer and October Christmas school
holidays 2025-2026.
Content
Approve the delivery of the
Holiday Activities with Food Programme:

Approve that Sheffield City Council will act as the Accountable
Body and the lead agent for the extended Department for Education
(DfE) funded Holiday Activities and Food programme in Sheffield for
2025-2026 on the existing terms.
·
Approve the Council’s acceptance of the additional grant
funding of £2,689,530 from the DfE for the Holiday Activities
and Food programme 2025-2026.
·
Approve we utilise the existing Holiday Activities and Food
delivery approach and model.
·
Approve the allocation of grant funding to delivery partners
including schools, VCF partners, and organisations that will
provide a vast range of cultural and sporting activities across
Sheffield and the procurement of a booking system/MI system.
