The Committee considered a
report of the Executive Director of Neighbourhood Services which
set out the achievements made in 2024/25, outlined the Housing
Policy Committee 2025/26 priorities and outlined key actions
required to build on the progress made so far.

RESOLVED
UNANIMOUSLY: That the Housing Policy
Committee notes the progress made by the Housing Policy Committee
in 2024/25, recognising the work of elected Members, officers and
partners to deliver against the Council’s objectives that
contribute to developing strong strategic foundations.

Reasons for Decision

 

 

8.3.1

The recommendations support the
continued strategic development of the organisation and will enable
the delivery of our Council Plan by agreeing the key issues that
this Committee needs to address in the 2025/26 year.

Alternatives Considered and Rejected

 

 

8.4.1

Not to set out a forward agenda
for 2025/26 – this was rejected as it is important that we
set out for citizens the things we want to achieve in
2025/26.
