Purpose

The report seeks agreement for the property
known as The School House, Jenkin Avenue, Sheffield, S9 1AN, being
the former Caretaker Property at Limpsfield Junior School, Jenkin
Avenue, Sheffield, S9 1AN to be declared surplus as it is no longer
required by the portfolio for the delivery of services.

Limpsfield Junior School be declared surplus as the school no
longer employs a resident caretaker and is not required by the
portfolio for the delivery of other services.

Reasons for the decision

The site is vacant and no longer required for
education purposes and the portfolio does not require them for the
delivery of other services.
 

Alternative options considered

Portfolio services have been
consulted on identifying alternative use for the houses; none have
been identified. Continuing to leave the site vacant will mean the
Council having to commit funding on a regular basis for vacant
property maintenance.
