10.1
Officers introduced their own reports which offered a
comprehensive overview of each Service's activities during the
period and highlighted their support for the city's children. The
reports provided quantitative and qualitative evidence
demonstrating the impact of the services in Sheffield as required
by statutory guidance.
10.2
RESOLVED UNANIMOUSLY: That the Education,
Children and Families Policy Committee note the following statutory
reports: -
a)
Annual Fostering Service Report 2024/25
b)
One Adoption South Yorkshire 2024/25
c)
Local Authority Designated Officer Service Report 2024/25 and
Independent Reviewing Officer Service Report 2024/25, which provide
details of each Service’s activity during the period, in
support of the city’s children.

complete an annual report for the scrutiny of elected

10.4.1
The
reports provided quantitative and qualitative evidence
demonstrating the impact of the services in Sheffield as required
by statutory guidance. Statutory guidance states that the manager
of the Service should complete an annual report for the scrutiny of
elected Members and the Local Safeguarding Children’s
Partnership. Education, Children and Families Committee afford the
best forum to support transparency for both elected member and
public scrutiny.
