Purpose

Following the decision of the Transport,
Regeneration and Climate Policy Committee to establish a grant fund
to support educational settings on the Built for Change Pilot, this
decision concerns the first cohort of grant allocations. It
includes grant allocations for nine settings.
 

Content

To
allocate grant funding to Built for
Change pilot settings as set out in section 2.2 to 2.4 of the
Officer Decision Report, and in Appendix 1.
 

Reasons for the decision

The proposed grant allocations, as requested
by the pilot settings, meet the eligibility criteria and have been
considered and approved by the Built for Change steering group.
They will support the educational settings to adapt to the changing
climate and benefit the well-being of students.

Alternative options considered

Alternative options for the funding and
delivery approach have been considered earlier in the programme. At
this stage, grants are not competitive and so alternative
allocation options have not been considered beyond the
Sustainability and Climate Change Team and other colleagues
reviewing the applications to assess compliance with the
eligibility criteria.
