Reasons for
Decision
13.3.1
Accepting the funding from FCC allows the Firth
Park Playground Improvements project to be completed which delivers
the Charity’s objectives. This investment will help fulfil
the ambitions of local people to have improved local play
facilities. The improvements will enhance accessibility and safety
while improving health and wellbeing by encouraging outdoor
physical activity and social interaction in the Firth Park
area.
13.4
Alternatives Considered and
Rejected
13.4.1
Option 1: Doing
Nothing
Reasons for rejection: Not accepting the FCC
grant would result in the planned Firth Park Playground
Improvements project being undeliverable in its current iteration.
The project would have to be significantly valued engineered to
reduce costs resulting in few upgrades being
possible
13.4.2
Option 2: Seeking alternate
funding
Reasons for rejection: Alternate funding for the
project could have been sought but this would have resulted in
significant delays to the project
