Purpose

This report seeks approval to commission and procure the
following specialist goods and services for use by the
Council.

Closed Circuit
Television (CCTV) – Service, Maintenance and
Repair
Intruder Alarms
– Service, Maintenance and Repair
Locksmiths and Key Cutting

The procurements
in this report are for goods/services that are a commonly recurring
requirement of the Council. The report will specify the contract
renewals with a brief description of the contracts including the
value, the proposed procurement strategy and the method of
funding.
The purpose of the report is to provide
sufficient information for the Executive Director of Neighbourhood
Services to provide authority for the procurements to be
undertaken.

Approve the commission of CCTV Service Maintenance and Repair
services for city centre systems for a period of 4 years from an
external provider, as set out in this report.
2)   
Approves the procurement strategy to undertake a competitive open
tender process and award a contract to an external provider for a
period of 4 years to undertake CCTV Service Maintenance and Repair
services for city centre systems, as set out in this report.
3)   
Approve the commission of CCTV Service Maintenance and Repair
services for the corporate and housing estates for a period of 4
years from an external provider, as set out in this report.
4)   
Approves the procurement strategy to undertake a competitive open
tender process and award a contract to an external provider for a
period of 4 years to undertake CCTV Service Maintenance and Repair
services for the corporate and housing estates, as set out in this
report.
5)   
Approves the commission of Intruder Alarm Service Maintenance and
Repair services for a period of 4 years from an external provider,
as set out in this report.
6)   
Approves the procurement strategy to undertake a competitive open
tender process and award a contract to an external provider for a
period of 4 years to undertake Intruder Alarm Service Maintenance
and Repair services, as set out in this report.    
7)   
Approve the commission of locksmith and key cutting services from
an external provider for a period of 4 years with an estimated
value of £294,000 as set out in this report.
8)   
Approves the procurement strategy to undertake a competitive open
tender process and award a contract to an external provider for a
period of 4 years to provide locksmith and key cutting services to
the Council.
