About

The Appointments Committee is responsible for making decisions and recommendations regarding the appointment of senior council officers. It decides on the appointment of chief officers, excluding statutory governance officers. For the Head of Paid Service, Chief Finance Officer, and Monitoring Officer, the committee makes recommendations to the full Council. This committee is convened only when necessary for these specific recruitment processes.
