About

The Cabinet Urgency procedure - Leader's Action allows the Leader or Deputy Leader to make urgent decisions on behalf of the Executive (Cabinet) when waiting for a scheduled meeting would harm the Council's interests. This procedure is used for Key Decisions that cannot be delayed. The Leader must consider if a special Cabinet meeting is necessary and ensure all decisions comply with Access to Information Rules. Decisions made under this procedure are published within two working days and may not be subject to call-in if agreed by the Chair of the Overview and Scrutiny Committee.
