The Standards Determination Sub-Committee considers investigations into potential breaches of the Local Code of Conduct for councillors. It holds hearings to decide if a breach has occurred and, if so, what sanction should be applied. This sub-committee is convened as needed from the Audit and Corporate Governance Committee's members and has a variable membership, typically including elected councillors and co-opted independent members. A councillor is elected as Chair for each hearing.
