Purpose

To seek approval to remove vehicles from the highway that
are persistent evaders and vehicles causing obstruction/hazard on
the highway.

Decision

(a) 
That the new policy
– Vehicle Removal Parking Contraventions and Persistent
Evaders in Appendix 1 be adopted.

 

(b) 
That delegated
authority be given to the Director for Regeneration, Housing and
Environment with consultation with the Lead Member for Highways,
Housing and Transport and Lead Member for Finance and Procurement
to commence procurement of a removal and disposal
provider.

 

(c) 
That it be noted that
a contract award report will be submitted to Cabinet for approval
to appoint new suppliers by April 2025.
