Purpose

Further to the report to Cabinet of 14th
November 2024, to consider the proposed Council Tax Reduction
Scheme for 2025/26, following the public consultation, and consider
recommending the scheme to full Council.

Decision

I. 
Agreed that if Full
Council approved the new CTS scheme for 2025/26, there should be an
increased CTS Hardship Fund and that a new CTS Hardship Fund Policy
would be developed and brought back to Cabinet for approval in
March 2025, following scrutiny.

 

II. 
Recommended approval
to Full Council that a new CTS scheme for 2025/26 as appended at
Appendix A to the report, to come into effect on 1 April
2025.
