Purpose

Subject to Cabinet approval in February 2025, to consider
the feedback from the public consultation and agree the final
policy for adult social care fees and charges.

Decision

(a) 
Approved the policy
appended at Appendix Three to the report including:
 

i. 
that the Minimum
Income Guarantee will be applied in accordance with national
regulations, with no buffer applied in Slough.

ii. 
to implement payment
charges when Slough Borough Council manage
appointee-ship.

iii. 
revised Deferred
Payment charges.

iv. 
Changes to charging
for arranging support for self- funders.
 
(b) 
Agreed that
implementation of the policy will be implemented as follows
throughout 2025 -
 

· 
For appointee-ship
charges – Implement from 1 June onwards.

· 
For Minimum Income
Guarantee, self-funders and deferred payments – New and
existing customers to be assessed using the agreed amounts from 1st
June 2025 onwards.
