Purpose

To consider the Corporate Performance Report for the first quarter of the 2026/27 year.

Decision

(a)  That the Council’s current performance as presented through the corporate performance report, scorecard and dashboard, including identified performance issues and mitigating actions, progress against the Corporate Improvement and Recovery Plan and relevant complaints insights be noted.

(b)  That it be agreed that an update be provided to Cabinet on the executive leadership aspects of the Political Leadership and Governance workstream, prepared in consultation with the Leader and Councillor Shaik. The update should set out progress, areas for improvement and proposed actions with clear responsibilities and timescales, complementing the wider governance reporting to the Audit and Corporate Governance Committee.
