Purpose

To consider a report on the current position regarding land at Long Readings Lane and Development Initiative for Slough Housing Ltd (DISH), and take appropriate decisions on the land.

Decision

(a)  Noted the latest position on Development Initiative for Slough Housing Ltd;

(b)  Noted that the lease of land at Long Readings Lane to Development Initiative for Slough Housing Ltd terminates on 27 January 2027; 

(c)  Approved the appropriation of land and housing at Long Readings Lane from the General Fund to the Housing Revenue Account upon termination of the lease at an estimated value of £5,248,000; and 

(d)  Delegated authority to the Chief Operating Officer, in consultation with the Lead Member for Corporate Resources, to finalise the value for appropriation, noting that the final HRA appropriation value will be subject to further due diligence on stock condition and liabilities.
