Purpose

To consider a report on the plans for the Destination
Farnham Road project following the recent public
consultation.

Decision

(a) 
Approved the
carry-forward of £2.6m of unspent 2023/24 capital budget for
the Destination Farnham Road Scheme into the 2024/25 capital
programme

 

(b) 
Amended the General
Fund Capital Programme for 2024/25 to 2027/28 to reflect a capital
budget for Destination Farnham Road of £2.6m in 2024/25 and
£7.5m in 2025/26

 

(c) 
Agreed the final
preliminary designs for the Destination Farnham Road scheme as set
out in Appendix 2.
 

(d) 
Delegated authority to
the Executive Director for Regeneration, Housing and Environment,
in consultation with the Lead Member for Highways, Housing and
Transport to make necessary changes to the drawings relating to the
ward councillor feedback and 20mph zone.

 

(e) 
Delegated authority to
the Executive Director for Regeneration, Housing and Environment,
in consultation with the Lead Member for Highways, Housing and
Transport, to consider any statutory representations and decide
whether to make the necessary traffic regulation orders.

 

(f) 
Approved the
commencement of a procurement process for construction works and
for an update report be brought back to Cabinet to approve the
appointed contractor.
