About

The Health and Adult Social Care Scrutiny Board provides overview and scrutiny of the Cabinet Portfolio Holder's responsibilities for Adult Social Care and Health, and exercises Health Scrutiny powers. It approves an annual work programme to examine health, public health, and adult social care matters, and scrutinises the Solihull Health and Wellbeing Board's responsibilities.

The board responds to requests from the Cabinet and Council, considers consultations from local health trusts and the Department of Health and Social Care, and reviews reports from Healthwatch concerning health services in Solihull. It also collaborates with other scrutiny boards on issues falling within multiple remits.
