Joint Health Overview and Scrutiny Committee

The Joint Health Overview and Scrutiny Committee (JHOSC) examines significant health matters affecting both Birmingham and Solihull, with a specific focus on proposed major changes to how health services are commissioned or provided. It also oversees the University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust, which serves both areas.

This committee is composed of five councillors from Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council and five from Birmingham City Council. Its role is to scrutinise and provide recommendations on health service developments impacting residents in both local authority areas.
