Purpose

A report was taken to seek approval to upgrade
the security access points into the pedestrianised areas at Mell
Square and High Street in Solihull Town Centre.

Decision

That delegated authority be given to the
Assistant Director for Environment, Highways and Sustainability to
agree the final designs and installation, in consultation with the
Cabinet Member for Environment and Infrastructure

Final designs and the installation timetable were agreed in
consultation with the Cabinet Member for Environment and
Infrastructure. This was confirmed by the Assistant Director for
Environment, Highways and Sustainability on 10 September
2025.
