The Scrutiny Corporate and Resources Committee
noted the recommendations in the report, and RESOLVED that the
Executive be:

1)   
Requested to produce clear public communications on the budget
challenges and the relationship between Council Tax and demand-led
services.

2)   
Recommended to include lateral comparisons with similar councils
(including Dorset) covering spending power, Band D rates, and net
budget per capita.

3)   
Requested to pursue exceptional financial support, capitalisation
directives, a review of fees and charges, and cost reductions, with
impact assessments.

4)   
Recommended to present detailed growth and savings proposals at the
5 January meeting of this Committee, with deliverability, risk, and
equality impacts included.

5)   
Requested to set out national funding constraints within the budget
report and outline advocacy plans for a fairer settlement.
