Decision

The Scrutiny Committee Adults, Health and Housing considered the report and RESOLVED:

·         That Somerset HDRC report annually to Adults, Health and Housing Scrutiny and Executive Committees on research activity and progress to ensure the programme delivers against the Business Plan.

·         To support the collaboration between Somerset HDRC and the Inspiring Innovation Programme as Somerset Council considers how to become a more evidence-informed, research-active organisation.

·         To endorse the proposed 2026 research priority areas.

In addition, the Committee noted the link between the HDRC housing and place research priority and the development of the Supported Housing Strategy and requested that the HDRC and Housing teams provide a joint update report to the Committee no earlier than January 2027.
