The Adults, Health and Housing Scrutiny Committee considered the Adult Social Care CQC Improvement Plan: Department of Health and Social Care Submission and Scrutiny Oversight and RESOLVED to note the submission to the Department of Health and Social Care and the progress being made in delivering the Adult Social Care Improvement Plan following the Care Quality Commission assessment. The Committee welcomed the improvements already achieved, recognised the significant programme of work underway across the service, and supported the continued role of scrutiny in monitoring delivery of the improvement actions, associated risks and the outcomes being achieved for Somerset residents.

The Committee also RESOLVED for a further update on progress against the Improvement Plan to be brought to the meeting on 7 January 2027.
