Decision

The Children and Education Scrutiny Committee:

  1. Noted progress in delivering the Families First Partnership Programme.
  2. Welcomed the development of Family Group Decision Making and Family Help arrangements across Somerset.
  3. Noted the expansion of family-led practice, increased staffing capacity and the development of practitioner training and guidance.
  4. Welcomed work to establish integrated multi-agency arrangements, including co-location and improved information sharing.
  5. Requested future updates on progress against programme milestones, recruitment and implementation risks.
  6. Requested that future reporting includes information on the information-sharing strand of the reforms and progress of the Multi-Agency Child Protection Team model.
  7. Requested that future reports include clear evidence of impact on outcomes for children and families.
