Decision

The Scrutiny Committee Corporate and Strategic considered the Quarter One report and RESOLVED to note the current strategic risk profile, the current high-scoring tactical and operational risks, and the proposed mitigating actions.

The Committee requested that ORG005 (Failure to prioritise the Council's required actions to achieve carbon neutrality by 2030 and address climate change impacts) be reviewed and separated into distinct risks relating to Somerset Council's carbon neutrality ambitions and Somerset-wide climate change impacts, and that the revised risk descriptions be referred to the Scrutiny Committee for Climate, Environment and Place for consideration and review.

The Committee requested that consideration be given to assessing the Council's exposure to co-funded arrangements and the potential impact of partner withdrawal on the Medium Term Financial Sustainability risk (ORG009).
