Decision

The Committee NOTED the current Work Programme and Outcome Tracker and RESOLVED:

  1. To align the Outcome Tracker and Forward Work Programme to ensure clear tracking of actions and delivery.
  2. To request that outstanding actions are reviewed and updated, with clear responsibility and timescales identified.
  3. To request that the Climate Strategic Partnership Review be brought to the July meeting, or as soon as sufficient progress allows.
  4. To schedule the Green Financing Roadmap for July and the Flood Risk Management Strategy for a future autumn meeting.
  5. To refresh membership of the Water Quality Task and Finish Group and review its scope in light of updated national guidance.
  6. To explore scheduling a joint item on Planning Enforcement and Planning Recruitment in September.
  7. To consider inclusion of further scrutiny on local transport, including bus service strategy and future delivery models.
  8. To ensure space within the programme for scrutiny of the Corporate Plan and relevant budget information.
  9. To add future monitoring of recycling performance, particularly in relation to trade waste entering the domestic waste stream.
  10. To request a full briefing on M5 incident management, including stakeholder roles (Somerset Council, National Highways, Police).
  11. To request advance written information on causes of closures, including historical data and categorisation of incidents.
  12. To seek confirmation of attendance from key partners and, if necessary, schedule separate sessions to ensure scrutiny can proceed.
