Decision

The Scrutiny Committee Corporate and Strategic welcomed the work undertaken to develop the new Artificial Intelligence (AI) Policy and the consolidation of existing AI governance arrangements into a single policy framework and RESOLVED to request that:

·         The policy be amended to make clear throughout that it applies to, and supports, all Somerset Council Councillors and Co-opted Members.

·         The programme of training and communications relating to the policy includes all Councillors and Co-opted Members.

·         A review of the policy and its implementation be reported to the Committee within 12 months.
