Decision

The Scrutiny Committee Corporate and Strategic considered the position statement and RESOLVED to note the update and the proposed approach. 

·       The Committee requested that Scrutiny be provided with early sight of the forthcoming Future Somerset report and associated proposals for neighbourhood working and prevention, to enable consideration and discussion prior to submission to the Executive on 7 October.

·       The Committee recorded its appreciation of Link Officers and recognised the considerable pressures under which they are working and their significant contribution to supporting Local Community Networks and communities across Somerset.
