Decision

The Climate, Environment and Place Scrutiny Committee RESOLVED to:

1. Note the proposed Local Transport Delivery Plan and associated investment programme for submission to the Department for Transport.
2. Welcome the inclusion of investment in public transport, active travel, road safety, accessibility improvements and highway maintenance.
3. Note the reported growth in digital Slinky services and the evidence provided regarding increased usage compared with non-digital services.
4. Request that future programme development continues to consider:

·       Rural transport needs.

·       Active travel opportunities in rural areas.

·       Electric vehicle charging infrastructure.

·       Integration between transport planning and development management activities.

·       Opportunities to maximise external funding and investment.

1. Note that the final Local Transport Delivery Plan will be submitted to the Department for Transport following Executive consideration.
