Decision

The Executive Resolved to:-

1)    Note the comments and recommendations made by the Corporate and Strategic Scrutiny Committee on 12 August 2026 in Appendix 1.

2)    Consider the recommendations relating to the following five items considered by the Committee:

a)    Somerset Council Best Value Notice: Improvement and Assurance Framework;

b)    Financial Management Improvement Plan - Building Better Finance;

c)    Inspiring Innovation Quarterly Update;

d)    2026/27 General Fund Revenue Budget Monitoring Report - Quarter 1; and

e)    Heart of the South West Local Enterprise Partnership (HotSW LEP) Legacy Funds.

3)    Provide a separate response to the recommendations made by the Committee in respect of each item listed above.
