Decision

The Climate, Environment and Place Scrutiny Committee RESOLVED to:

1. Receive and note the Lead Member Annual Report for Highways and Transport.
2. Welcome the progress reported in relation to highway maintenance, active travel, road safety, external funding and infrastructure improvements.
3. Request that information on the outcomes and forward programme associated with the Spruce Up Somerset initiative is shared with members.
4. Request that the Highway Authority Standing Advice document referred to during the meeting is circulated to Committee members.
5. Note the ongoing work to improve transparency, preventative maintenance, winter service delivery and carbon reduction initiatives across the Highway Service.
