The Climate, Environment and Place Scrutiny Committee RESOLVED to:

1. Note the purpose, scope and proposed programme of work contained within the Somerset Local Nature Recovery Strategy Year One Delivery Plan 2026/27.
2. Endorse the proposed approach to delivery as an appropriate framework for coordinated implementation of the Somerset Local Nature Recovery Strategy.
3. Support the proposed priorities for 2026/27, including partnership governance, embedding the strategy within decision-making processes, project development, monitoring, reporting, community engagement and communications activity.
4. Welcome the emphasis on partnership working with communities, parish and town councils, landowners, businesses and environmental organisations to support delivery.
5. Request that future progress reports provide assurance regarding delivery outcomes, monitoring arrangements and the practical implementation of nature recovery projects across Somerset.
