Purpose
On 30
January 2025 the Grants Advisory Committee reviewed all Community
Chest applications received between 7 November 2024 and 7 January
2025.
Eight
applications were brought forward in
‘Appendix A’ of the meeting reports pack.
After
consideration of the application, the Committee recommended to the
Lead Cabinet Member for Resources that:
1.
Mix Music DJ (SOUTH Cambs) (LKBGRGVN) be approved and funded at the
full amount requested of £2,000
2.
Great & Little Eversden Parish Council
(XBRWBSXS) be approved and
funded at the full amount requested of £825
3.
Cottenham United Colts FC (THMLTQRR) be approved and funded at the
full amount requested of £2,000
4.
Graveley Parish Council (PDMTLDSX) be approved and funded at the
full amount requested of £2,000
5.
Over Sports FC (FBPKBDQT) be approved and funded at the
full amount requested of £2,000
6.
Sew Positive (WJPTBBQH) be approved and funded at the
full amount requested of £2,000
7.
Longstowe Parish Council (PRFFBPBJ) be approved and funded at the
full amount requested of £1,493.50
8.
Carlton cum Willingham Churchyard conservation group
(HRCCSFQP) be approved and
funded at the full amount requested of
£164.
Content
To
accept the recommendations of the Grants Advisory Committee (see
above). In relation to the applications from Great & Little
Eversden Parish Council and Longstowe Parish Council, funding is
granted provided a sticker/plaque is displayed with the signs and
notice boards.
Reasons for the decision
The
applications were considered in detail by the Grants Advisory
Committee and there was sufficient budget available.
Alternative options considered
To
reject or vary the recommendations of the Grants Advisory Committee
and decide on the level of funding (£0 - £2,000) to be
awarded for each or defer a decision if further information is
required from grant applicants.
