The
Audit and Corporate Governance Committee noted the introduction of
the duty of failure to prevent fraud as part of the Economic Crime
and Corporate Transparency Act (ECCT) 2023 and the action the
Council intended to take to ensure it could demonstrate that
reasonable measures were in place.
