Purpose

The purpose of this decision is
to fund Bar Hill Primary School, to support the development of a
small school garden. The grant will enable the school to purchase a
greenhouse, compost, seeds, and timber to build a raised vegetable
bed. The project aims to provide fresh produce for use in the
school kitchen, as well as for the PTA’s vegetable stall,
where surplus vegetables will be shared with families. The garden
will be cared for by pupil groups and supported by key staff,
offering children a hands-on learning experience about growing
food, healthy eating, and sustainability.
