Content

To accept the recommendations
of the Grants Advisory Committee.

Regarding the application from Sheddit!, it is
recommended that funding is only provided if either of the
following conditions are met:
·
the project is scheduled to take place after
the utility company has completed any planned groundworks,
or
·
where the project proceeds before the utility
works begin, the utility company should provide a contribution to
Sheddit! to cover the cost of restoring
any areas of land where damage to the land has occurred.

Regarding the application from
Haslingfield Parish Council it is
recommended that landowner(s) permissions are obtained before the
grant is awarded. This may mean that payments are made in stages as
and when landowner(s) permission is granted.

Reasons for the decision

The applications were
considered in detail by the Grants Advisory Committee and there is
sufficient budget available.

Alternative options considered

To reject or vary the
recommendations of the Grants Advisory Committee and decide on the
level of funding (£0 - £2,000) to be awarded for each
or defer a decision if further information is required from grant
applicants.

As per above, the application
from Willingham Action Group
(VDXXZWNN) requesting £2,000 has been deferred, pending
further information on:
·
what work is required (and the associated cost) to
turn the scrubland into a wildflower meadow.
·
whether reassurance can be given that
Willingham Action Group
will either:
o
restore any damage to the land through any planned
utility company groundworks after planting has taken place
or
o
delay the planting until such works are
completed.
