The
Council (26 voting in favour, 9 voting against, 0 abstaining from
voting) agreed to become a permanent, 32-hour per week, four-day
week employer (subject to support from Cambridge City Council at
its Full Council meeting on Thursday 24 July 2025).
 
The
Council also resolved to:

a.    
Note the proposals for a Productivity Policy to
implement a permanent four-day week, to be agreed by Employment and
Staffing Committee.

b.    
Agree to amend the Council’s Pay Policy
Statement to reflect the change to four-day week working (as in
Appendix A to the report).
