Purpose

On 31
July 2025 the Grants Advisory Committee reviewed all Community
Chest applications received between 7 June 2025 and 7 July
2025.
 
Three
new applications were brought forward plus one application deferred
from June in
Appendix A of the meeting
reports pack.
 
After
consideration of the applications, the Committee recommended to the
Lead Cabinet Member for Resources that:
 

1.   
The application from Shelford and Stapleford Youth
Initiative (KXKDKPKZ)be approved and funded at
the full amount requested of £2,000

 

2.   
The application from Rampton Village Hall Management
Committee (WXQPLDPH) be
approved and funded at the full amount requested of
£1,093.09

 

3.   
The application from Graveley Parish Council
(BWTPNTSS) be approved and funded at the full
amount requested of £2,000
 

4.   
The application from Willingham Action Group
(VDXXZWNN) be approved
and funded at the full amount requested of
£2,000

Reasons for the decision

The
applications were considered in detail by the Grants Advisory
Committee and there is sufficient budget available.

Alternative options considered

To
reject or vary the recommendations of the Grants Advisory Committee
and decide on the level of funding (£0 - £2,000) to be
awarded for each or defer a decision if further information is
required from grant applicants.
